Letter to Taylor enclosing draft program of the first annual meeting and minutes of the Executive Committee of the National Society for the Promotion of Industrial Education
spectively. Passed.
The Chairman of the Propaganda Committee reported the formation of state committees in twenty-seven states. He reported that a plan of printing and distribution among the state committees of all bills relating to industrial education appearing before state legislatures was being put into practice.
The Chairman further reported that Mr. T.W. Robinson, Vice-President of the Illinois Steel Company, had accepted the chairmanship of the state committee of Illinois, and had agreed to assist in organizing a state committee, and to take up the work of preparation for the Society meeting in Chicago, in the month of November.
Mr. Alexander stated that his plan contemplated the formation of a local committee of twenty-five, in addition to the state committee, to assist in preparing for the meeting.
The question of the date of the meeting was discussed and November 14th to 16th was decided upon, unless the executive officers find upon further consideration that these dates conflict with other important interests.
A discussion of the programme was then held, and after a few modifications it was decided that the Secretary should send out the enclosed programme to the Board of Managers, for their comment and criticism, with the understanding that the executive officers are authorized to carry out its provisions if approved by the Board.
It was decided to begin the newspaper publicity campaign
