Dear Uncle Fred:--
You are not too far away from civilization or too much immersed in the joyful pursuit of this life to be interested in something worth while, and am therefore enclosing herewith a clipping from that most excellent newspaper - the New York Journal. You certainly ought to be pleased to know tht "scientific management" has gotten that far down in the scale of humanity; then, too, there is something intensely human about the situation pictured. Of course as to whether the figure 25 for useless motion is correct, I am not prepared to say, but am going to look further into this matter the next time I see my girl.
I am sorry to hear that you had a cold, but think it just as well that something kept you from traveling out West at this particular time.
We are going to sell 1621 Chestnut Street for $90,000 cash less 2%. It seems like a pretty good sale as we have been playing taxes and getting no return for a number of years. 1912 Taxes amounted to $1373. The only way we could realize any more would be to purchase the property next door and put up a large store, but this would require a good deal of capital and trouble.
