1915 Sept. 13
Miss Frances W. Mitchell,
c/o Mrs. Fred W. Taylor,
Boxley, Highland Station, Phila.
My dear Miss Mitchell,-
I have been over some of my correspondence with Mr. Taylor with a view to looking up dates, and have also had a talk with Mrs. Taylor in regard to them. I give the following schedule:
At Madison, Me., and Appleton, Wis., from about 1890 or 1889 to Sept. 1893
At Simonds Rolling Machine Co., Fitchburg, Sept. 1893 to 1894
At Cramp Ship Yard, 1894 to 1895
At Northern Electric Manufacturing Co., Madison, Wis., Jan. 1896 to Feb. 1896; also probably engaged with them for a considerable period after that.
At Johnstown, Penn., Feb. 1896 to Oct. 1896
At Simonds Rolling Machine Co., Fitchburg, Nov. 1896 to 1897
At Bethlehem Steel Works, South Bethlehem, May 1898 to Jan. 1901.
While at Madison, Maine, and Appleton, Wis., Mr. Taylor studied and mastered the problem of bookkeeping.
The above dates are somewhat approximate, but will serve as a basis for more exact information if such is needed at a later date.
Yours very truly,
Sanford Thompson
